Sameer Sudame

Sameer is a Engineering Software Developer by profession. In his free time Sameer pursues his dream of learning Bansuri (Flute), listening to Indian Music (both Instrumental and Vocal). He is founder of the Komal Gandhar. Having lived several years abroad, Sameer understands the need of lovers of Indian Classical Music for tools to help them fulfill their dreams.

Pt. Mohan Darekar

Pandit Mohan Darekar is a celebrated Classical Singer, Teacher and Composer. He is disciple of Pt. Jitendra Abhisheki. He also sought training from Ustad Saiduddin Dagar, Dr. Vikas Kashalkar and Pts. Rajan and Sajan Mishra there by enriching his profound understanding of Indian Classical Music.

Dr. Kasturi Paigude-Rane

Kasturi is a disciple of the renowned vocalist Mrs. Arati Ankalikar-Tikekar. Under her watchful eyes and systematic training, Kasturi has matured into a confident singer with a well-seasoned melodious voice and aesthetic renditions of different Raag structures. Kasturi has completed her Ph.D in music from Savitribai Phule Pune University.

Dr. Anagha Hindlekar

Anagha has received training in Hindustani Vocals from Pt. Vasantrao Kulkarni, Late Padmashree Manik Varma, Pt. Arun Kashalkar and Pt. Parmeshwar Hegde. She has a Ph.D. in Music. Anagha is equally comfortable in Musical Performances, designing teaching methods and technology to support it. Anagha is working with Komal Gandhar as an advisor.

Vinay Kohad

Vinay is desciple of Shri. Jayant Kejkar from Pune for last several years. He has done M.A in music from Pune University. He is Sangeet Visharad and teaching at
Gandharva Mahavidyalaya, Pune for last 3 years. He has taken Voice Culture lessons from Pandit Rajendra Manerikar and Shri. Jayant Kejkar.

Ear Training

Ear training is process of developing your ear for understanding musical features like pitch, melodic movement. Ear training is even more important for learners of Indian Classical Music, which does not have notion of written sheet music.

Komal Gandhar has developed Ear Training Kit in the form of a Quiz. Here you can listen to 1/2/3 note combinations and figure out what they are with reference to your chosen scale. You can select notes you are interested in eg. all shuddha swars/Scale of a thaat/Notes in a Raga/any other combination.

Doing these exercises regularly will help you understand where different notes are placed with reference to Sa, intervals between different notes. Even without realizing, you will make significant strides, in your quest to fathom Indian Classical Music. It will help you understand beauty of Ragas and intricate melodic movements that give Raga its flavour, play your favourite songs on instrument.
